Porsche 356 AT2 from 1958
The headlights were totally dismantled,
re-painted, rings and screws re-chromed. Like new ! ! !
My first choice for wheels / Tires : 5,5
Brazilian chrome wheels with Vredestein Sprint Classic 185/70/15 tires. This
tire's dimension was interesting because it was 99% aspect ratio from original
and a bit wider !The driving
impression was unbelievable !!! But I was obliged to lower the car because the
tires were rubbing inside the rear fender.
I'm running now with Michelin XZX 165/15
on 4,5 wheels and I think it's the best choice for "A" cars ! ! !
Here are some of my new parts just waiting
in their boxes for the end of the restoration !

Here are the drum brake system, ready
to be re-installed after : the sandblasting and painting of the drum brake
system's support - the wheel cylinders were dismantled, cleaned, and
reassembled with new repair kits, the brake shoes were refurbished, . . .

Here is the windshield wiper mechanism
after restoration : new paint, the mechanisms were dismantled, cleaned,
greased and then reassembled !

The gas tank ! The outside is in very good
condition as you can see on the pictures. The inside is a bit rusted and
needed a treatment with a special resin to avoid the small particle of rust
to come in the carburettors.

Here is the work after a sunny Week-end
! The parts were sandblasted and painted with rust protection.

To be continued . . .
